It looks pretty cool – 09/09/09. We have seen this single digit configuration many times, and it generally has not mean all that much. This year, however, is different. For one thing, it represents the last of the single digit dates for the next 1001 years! (Thinking that you and I might not be around for the next one!)

As the last simple (single) number, it is the number of completion.

In ancient Egypt, Nine was the name of the sacred mountain of the Sun. The number nine has significance in myth, magic and religion.

Comment has been made about the timing of Senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy’s passing. It is very close to the 09/09/09 time period, and his life was a personification of the number nine. Of all of the Kennedy sons, Ted Kennedy was the talented humanitarian, the voice of those who could not speak, the social conscious, if you will, for this country.

His was a life of service, of healing and educating, of being the glue that held things together. He looked for creative solutions, and was an inspiration for many. It is a pure vibration of spiritual love that is anchoring in the earth and in the hearts of mankind. It comes from the loving intentions of light beings and souls on the inner planes. It will manifest as a powerful surge of light that makes its way through our realities, and the realities of people around us. It will bring negative energies, negative beliefs, and lessons not learned into our consciousness, so that we can resolve and release them.

Does this make this time period an easy one? No, definitely not! We are going to have a lot of work to do. But we have the compassionate energy of this time period to work with, and we can grow as individuals in both mundane and spiritual ways if we want to. Know that at a time like this we are apt to feel a little off center, as if our selves are not in alignment. There is a healing curve here, where we need to allow time for the resolutions we make to settle into our energy bodies, so that we can move to a higher vibrational level. We are clearing out old baggage and becoming new people.

It might be a good idea to consciously ground yourself each day, for a few days before 09/09/09, and a few days after. This will make it easier for you to handle the depth of emotions that is being brought up, and to resolve them. If we do not anchor our energies in this manner, we risk allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed in a swirl of chaotic energy.

Make it a special day for yourself, and celebrate the uniqueness of who you are, and the world that you have created around yourself. Choose to live the day with compassion, freely offering a hand to others that may need it in some way.
