My name is Jeanmarie. My nickname is "Witchster" and it was coined by my sister. It means Witch Sister, and that is what I would like to be to you. A Wise Sister. There were several "Witches" in my Family Tree and no doubt my ancestry has contributed to my innate abilities.

In our area of old Virginia no one suffered persecution or death for being a "Witch". Instead,the accusation served the purpose of "Scape-Goating."  "It's helpful to have someone around to blame things on", my Triple-cousin and local Historian said.  "The term "Witch", she continued,"seems to have applied to people, especially women, whose behavior made them stand out in the community. Everything from eccentric behavior, keen intelligence, a reputation for "perceptive abilities" and even a cantankerous or independent personality was enough to earn the label."

"According to Historical notes, being accused of Witchcraft usually meant (according to present day scientific standard) that the woman was unusually keen-minded with penetrating insight into human affairs and Mind and Motives. Witches were usually sensitive and fragile of body."

"Another characteristic of Witches was that they knew a lot of Herbs with powerful properties. These make a man see beauty in the most common objects and also magnify their desire for the same. Some Witches were thought to have given their boyfriends "doses" of "Witches Brew" in order to get the boyfriend to marry them."

My Readings
