Numerology gives us what is called a Destiny number. It is derived from all of the letters of your full birth name. (So – for those that changed their name, thinking that the new name had a better vibration – your destiny is based on your birth name – no changes allowed!) Your destiny number describes the things that you must accomplish in this lifetime, and the opportunities that will be made available to you. This is your life’s purpose, your spiritual mission in this lifetime.

The following list is a synopsis of each Destiny number:
1 – This Destiny number indicates a need to gain independence and establish ones self as a leader. You have the skills to work creatively, to problem solve well, and to act on your thoughts. (However, it may be left to others to do the follow through.) You have the potential to achieve whatever you set out to do, and to be financially compensated for it.
2 – This Destiny number indicates a bent towards needing to understand people, and it has a spiritual focus. This person is quite often the mediator in the room, has good communication skills and is diplomatic. A number two Destiny number also indicates the ability to inspire others, and to lead by example.
3 – This Destiny number indicates that the individual has a very creative nature, and will spend a large part of their life inspiring others. This person is a natural n sales or public relations. Gregarious by nature, a number three Destiny person needs to develop the ability to be a true friend to others.
4 – This Destiny number indicates a very practical, down to earth person, who needs order around them. This person has good management skills, and will find themselves working long hours to get projects through to completion. This is the number of the “Master Builder”, indicating that this person can take on large scale projects without difficulty.
5 – This Destiny number indicates a need for change, for personal freedom and thinking “outside the box”. This person will have many talents, including the ability to be analytical and think quickly, and will need to be adaptable. The will need to learn to accept change gracefully.
6 – This Destiny number indicates a sense of responsibility, and a need for balance. This is a person that is very concerned about the welfare of others. The work that this person does will more than likely be connected with community, and enhancing the community.
7 – This Destiny number indicates a sense of seeking the truth in life, and the ability to think things through. This Destiny number will feel the need to become an authority in their field, and may well be drawn to the technical or scientific fields. This person is a perfectionist, and must look to do so in a positive manner.
8 – This Destiny number indicates a need for financial security and status. Individuals with this number are ambitious and goal oriented. Much of the success attained by these individuals will be due to the fact that they are able to judge character well.
9 – This Destiny number indicates a need for living a compassionate life. This individual will need to allow themselves to be sensitive to the needs of others. They are creative, and highly imaginative.
