Friday January 15th, 2010 was a Capricorn New Moon (as well as a solar eclipse in Capricorn). The energy that Capricorn brings with it is that of a business-like attitude, boundaries, and authority. These will play out in our personal lives, as well as within our local communities, and on a national and international level. Relief efforts for Haiti, and the diminishing time to save those that are buried, comes to mind here.
This is a time when we turn to the practical nature of Capricorn. We will be addressing issues in our lives that have to do with the how and why of things. Capricorn is a worker bee, so this time will be spent working out the details of our lives.
With Mercury in its stationary phase (going from retrograde to direct), we will be reviewing old patterns and old issues, releasing them and making room for new patterns that serve us for the lives that we are currently leading. While in the process of determining the new pattern for your life, make sure that the structures that you put in place are meant to be there long term – not “band aids” until the right time comes around.
Release the past and move into the future. If you are unable to release the past, it will hold you prisoner and not allow you to move forward.
