How do you know which reader is right for you? - Friday, February 8, 2013 | PsychicPower.com

Psychic Blogs

A caller wants to know if a reader is good so she calls several readers with questions she already knows the answers to. Some of the readers answer correctly while others don’t.

Is it fair to the reader or is it just a case of the caller doing her homework before she makes a selection?

From the caller’s perspective –

The caller would like to know if there is a connection before going further so she asks a question she already knows the answer to. Other than the reader’s bio and feedback how else can the caller find out if the reader she picked is the right one.

From the reader’s perspective –

Many readers mention that they are aware when a caller throws out test questions. This immediately creates an air of mistrust. Most definitely not the best way to start a reading since most times they are not able to get past those defenses and blocks placed by the caller, so the reading is doomed before it even got started.

Let us hear what do you think? We are looking for comments from both reader and caller. Let us start a dialogue.

interesting that some people do that. the thought has never crossed my mind to do test questions. i don't think that's the best way to spend my money. when the psychic picks up the phone i jump right into the question. i call the same psychics every time and they always do good by me. i don't try new ones

I like to try new psychics. Sometimes I need some reassuring. What causes a problem for me though is if they give differing views...then what? hmmmm....

Yes, I do not think to do "test" questions, but I do call different psychics because I still haven't found one that fits me. I do find that they do have special insights but it is sometimes mixed with judgement which can be clouded with cultural ideals...

One of the readers on this site said the following about test questions…If your packing up for a move then don't ask 'Am I moving?' If you have already been hired don't ask "Will I get this job?" The Spirit does not entertain meaningless chatter any more than Christ would perform miracles with out a cause…

To me its very understandable why a caller would "Test" a reader, and I dont think that their is anything wrong with that, as the caller should feel that they are getting the best possible read that they can for their questions and or problems they are trying to solve.

We as readers should not feel offended in anyway when a caller tests us, but rather have an understanding that the caller simply wants the best reading and advice that he or she can possibly obtain from the many expert readers that are here.

very interesting comment by the reader Sonia spoke to...if you know the answer and ask the question anyway, the bottom line is it gets in the way of the reading. I think you need to talk to the reader to find out if they are right for you, not necessarily asking questions you know the answer to but by asking questions that give you insight into that readers style and experience, of course you can get that information by reading the bios and even the reviews. The bottomline is do your homework before calling.
