I always look towards a higher power to guide me through the day so I always call on my spirit guides daily. I've been told that a person can have more than one spirit guides. Can anyone elaborate?

Ken - We have one guide that stays with us our entire life. We also have guides that come in for specific time periods, or for specific issues. The more we talk to them, and try to connect with them, the closer the relationship will be, and the more we will learn. We can also connect with personages from the past that have passed on, and ask them to be our guide/mentor for a specific time period/issue. We need to honor our guides, and ask what we can give them in return for their help.

How do you know the difference between "following your gut" and being given guidance by your Spirit Guide?

Ree - It is sometimes difficult to know when you are following your intuition (your "gut") and following advise from your guides. For me, advise from my guides comes in stronger, with greater intent, and gives me a sense of peace. I am interested in how others experience this! Bonnie

Would you say the key to knowing if a feeling comes from intuition as opposed to a spirit guide is by focusing on the source - for example, does it come from you gut or somewhere physically within you (intuition) or from an external reference, such as some sign pointing you in a particular direction (spirit guide)? I suppose there is some blurring of the to, but I'm interested as a novice in trying to better understand spirit guides.

Apple - The definition of intuition is that of instinctive knowing, without any rational explanation. It is brought to us by our Higher Self. Communication from our Spirit Guides is the same thing - it is an instinctive knowing, without any rational explanation. Perhaps we are looking to define a difference where there really is none. We can develop our intuition by developing our five senses (and the sixth sense of direct contact with Spirit). When we develop our intuition, we make it easier for our Guides to come through to us (because we are raising our vibrational level). Lots to think about here! Blessings, Bonnie

I always say this prayer to my spirit guides & God:“This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do. Today I will be taught the word of God. I boldly confess my mind is alert, my heart is receptive; Ill never be the same. In Jesus name, God bless you.” Your Lasik eye surgery will go fine. My mom had the same procedure decades ago, with outstanding success.

yes, that most definitely is your spirit guide, staying with you and guiding you on the right path. Be not afraid to call on your guide. The rewards are unbelievable.

I think this is another example of your deep connection to the spirit world. You should embrace your gift and see where it takes you.

OK...Now where to start...I have always told people I wish I had a machine that I could plug into my head so people could hear what goes on inside, it never stops, never, when I am trying to sleep, images, nothing I can recognize, sounds, nothing I can understand, Is this my Spirit guide or was I right to go to a therapist to get on medication to block these things out? So confused, I have been told that I am psychic....I just don't get it...

Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that we all have spirit(s) that guide us. They convey important messages to us. Some of us are very aware of who these spirits are and some of us use those messages to help and guide others, some do nothing with them and some aren't even aware of the messages...which is why guidance is definitely needed here.

Ken, We can have several guides. We will have one that will stay with us our entire life. My main guide is a Native American, his name is Red Cloud (you can google him if you would like to see a pic of him). He is the strongest of my guides my main guide. I also have two others that help me. I don't know their names as of yet, but I know that they are there. Some guides are with us for a short time to teach us what we need to know. When they serve that purpose they move on.

I'm reviving this post to share my experience with my Guide(s). In my case, I feel a strong impulse to do something or take actions that I know is not coming from my thoughts. More than once, I've been warned when I am about to have a crash. It's like an awakening or a slap on my face...lol. I always appreciate my Guide(s) for protecting me. I also have dreams very often but I forget when I wake up.
