Tonight I have had a very strange experience with the lights in my home. All afternoon, the chandelier in my dining room, where I was working, was flickering a bit. It has done this off and on for the past few months, so I didn't really pay too much attention. Later in the evening, it continued. When I was in my bedroom, the table lamp had very big flickers several times. It was very noticeable -- to the point that my children were even beginning to notice and ask what is going on. Later, I go back downstairs and am watching television (no lights in that room) but notice the chandeliers in the adjacent dining room and living room are absolutely wild with flickering. I go into the living room and turn on another chandelier and it does the same thing. In addition, the hallway light is doing the same. I sat in my living room and this continued for about 15 minutes. Then it all stopped at once. I would be the first to say this is the wiring, but it is an old house and we had it rewired entirely three years ago. Also, these lights are all on different switches and different fuses, so they are not connected. Unless there is a mouse tinkering with the fuse box, I really do not know what to make of it. What do you think?

Ree - Very smart to think of the wiring first. If this continues, I would have the wiring looked at (even though the rooms are on separate fuse boxes). The other answer is that you have an entity - or entities - that are trying to make themselves. known. They may need an answer about something, or they may need you to do something for them. Something has triggered this activity. Acknowledge them, ask them what they want, They appear to be "friendly" to me. :)
