Travel back in time and you will find tarot artist still drawing images on parchment papers and stones by candlelight and moonlight. You can see the Gypsy storyteller running barefoot in the sand along the Mediterranean seashore. Watch her dance beneath the stars and whisper to the moonbeams. Fate and destiny are her travel companions. Strangers, seekers of knowledge come to hear this mystical woman read the wisdom in her cards and tell stories as only she can do. Come, she waits for you to hear her psychic stories and follow her gypsy wagon wheels as they roll along in the sand of time.

It was the late 1940’s. Fate calls to a mother who took her daughter by the hand as they boarded a bus leaving everyone and everything behind. The two remain missing persons.

Gazing out the bus window the young girl and her mother eagerly watched for the evening stars to come out while wheels of fate carried them into the unknown. As if a twist in time had occurred the two vanished from one life, lost to all those who knew them and appeared in another place in time as two different people.

That was a very long time ago when I took my mothers hand and boarded that bus. Growing up I had many paranormal experiences as a child and adult. Fate, destiny, and the unusual have always been my constant companions. Communication in my dreams guided me and my tarot cards called to me when it was time.

One day when I was in a social setting my instincts spoke to me. I could feel that someone was staring at me. I turned and looked over my shoulder to see a man staring directly at me. Our eyes connected for a few seconds. I had never seen him before, yet I felt him. I ignored the experience and left the area.

Within a few months, a friend wanted me to go with her to a psychic fair. I had not been to a psychic fair before and was excited about going. When I arrived at the fair I walked into the entrance of the hotel ballroom and stood there looking around at the crowd of people. The lights began to blink on, off, overhead and the psychic readers who were sitting at tables turned and looked at me. I looked ahead and recognized the man standing in the center of the room staring at me. He was the same man who had been staring at me before in another location. We both stared at each other and then he turned to sit down at a table and I realized he was a reader and the well-known psychic detective John Catching. This man found missing persons, helped solve cases and he was the owner of the psychic fair.

Several months after the psychic fair I decided to call and speak with someone about doing readings at John Catching fair. When I called, they did not need another reader. I still followed my gut feeling and I went to his fair that weekend. I arrived that morning and John saw me and we finally spoke briefly for the first time. I told John I would like to do readings if he had a place for me. He looked at me with a psychic recognition in his eyes. Suddenly without warning, one of his new readers had to leave. John looked at me and pointed towards her empty table. I did 19 readings that day. At the end of the day, John came to me and told me to join him in the main ballroom the following day. That was the beginning of working John’s fairs.

John Catching fairs brought the glamour of disco with crystal jewelry and sequin tops with news media showing up at the events on a regular basis doing interviews. People flocked to John’s psychic fairs and marveled at the paranormal and supernatural classes, and panel discussions on psychometry and missing persons.

John chartered buses and took his psychic fair readers to Austin and other cities in Texas. I enjoyed the journey and the psychic education I got from knowing and working with this talented man from a supernatural world.

The glitter of John Catching Psychic Fair dimmed as a hush fell over the city when John Catching passed away in September of 1992. He died at the young age of 45. John’s psychic fairs faded from the public eye along with his exceptional psychic talents as a psychic detective, reader, teacher and mentor who helped bring the word psychic paranormal to a new level of understanding. John had made numerous appearances on national television shows such as Unsolved Mysteries, Secrets of the unknown, Geraldo and the Today Show.

Destiny sent this psychic detective out to find one of his own and bring her home in the gypsy wagon.
