Getting The Most Out of Your Psychic Reading

When it comes to psychic readings, many people have the notion that the one doing the reading is super human. They dial the phone with great anticipation, expecting the person on the other end to launch into a litany of prophetic utterances and insights that will blow their mind. This can certainly happen, but it is not the norm. And many end up feeling angry or disappointed when the reading winds up being slightly vague or even off the mark. So why does this happen at times? A psychic reading is an energetic exchange; thus in order to get the most out of your reading, you have to be open and honest. If you walk into a reading and give little or no information, the reading will be vague because the psychic will have very little energy to go on. For example, if you sit down for a reading and say something like, "what is going to happen with me and John's relationship?" The psychic may lay out some cards and ascertain that something is wrong and that there is heart break in the relationship with John. Perhaps they feel that John wants to leave this relationship. The client then exclaims, "but me and John are not together NOW!!!!!" Good point, but the psychic was asked about, "me and John's relationship," as if the relationship was still ongoing. This is quite different than saying, "will me and John get back together?" In order for the psychic to be more on point, your question has to be more to the point. And if you are purposely vague in your questions because you are trying to test the psychics abilities, the psychic will sense this on some level and the connection will be flimsy at best. No one will do their best work under the eye of one who suspects they will fail. Another misconception that many have is that all psychics operate the same way. This is very untrue and is detriment to any reading. What we must understand is that there are psychics who make very long distance and in depth predictions about the future. Other are better with short term predictions. Other psychics are more intuitive and will be able to tell you the outcome of the current events in your life. Some psychics read cards, some read crystals or runes. Others may use no tool at all and just go by their strong intuitions. Some psychics can grab things out thin air with little or no information, others need a little more of a back drop to get a clear picture of what will happen in the situation at hand. These are all good things to keep in mind when you go for your next reading. And it might be helpful to ask yourself if you are getting the reading to be impressed, or are you on a quest to find real answers. Being honest, open and straight forward with your psychic ensures that you will get the best reading possible. Being rude, purposely vague or walking in and giving someone thirty seconds to impress you is a lose lose situation for everyone involved. So please remember, a psychic reading is an energetic exchange, not a scene from a Hollywood movie. The more open we are with each other, the more we'll both get out of our time together.

Amen to that!! I I agree wholeheartedly. I say if you don't trust the psychic then end the reading right away...

Well said Paul !!! Also some people only want you to tell them what they want to hear, rather then the truth, like if you pick up that a lover will not return and you tell the client that, then they can become angry with you because this is not what THEY want to happen even though its what WILL happen and the Psychic can see it very clearly. I only tell clients the truth of what I see even if the client will not ne happy with the outcome.

I hope more people read this. There are many different kinds of psychics here. Most people who come for a reading wouldn't ask a medical doctor to make a diagnosis in 2 minutes but expect an accurate psychic reading like it is a news report or something. Thank you for writing this. Like I am sayin' hope folks read this. I like the readers here. Some times I call one person, sometimes another. It depends...

I couldnt have said it better myself! This is so true and stuff that working as a psychic over the years, I've learned to take in and use to the betterment of my skills. I have just started reading on Psychic Power and co, but have been reading professionally for going on 13 years in many realms and for people all over the world. Anyone who plays 'test the psychic' is only hurting themselves!

I would like to keep this topic going. I find it very interesting and it's great to hear everyone's views. I wouldn't say that I am "testing" the psychic, but I am guilty of sizing up a new psychic or comparing their readings to prior readings. Since someone mentioned a doctor, just like picking a doctor I ask questions and based on the doctors responses, bedside manner, connection, I make my choice whether that doctor is right for me. Do I always make the right decision...Nah! I don't ask the psychic "trick" questions (questions I already know the answer to) I don't play around like that. To me that's wasting my money. But I do get a second opinion, usually by getting another reading, sometimes 2, before I decide if that reader will be one of my go to's.
