I recently heard that finding coins in random places or feathers are supposed to be signs from loved ones who have passed on. I regularly find coins in unsuspecting places. How do you know if these truly are just lost coins or if it really is a message? Has anyone else heard this?

Delphine - I have never heard that coins or feathers represented lost loved ones. However, finding a coin is considered very good luck - and indication of money coming in. Feathers are also good luck, as birds are considered messenger to and fromt he spirit world. In that way, feathers might be a message from a loved one - just to let you know that they are there. :) Bonnie

I always thought that you had to find the coin heads up for it to be goodluck. Also the shinier the better.

Pat - I believe that it is a common saying that if a coin is heads up, to pick it up, and if it is tails up, to leave it there. I think it would be personal preference as to what an individual chooses to do - just as some people will prefer to only pick up shiny "new" coins. Lilith

That is so cool about birds being messengers from the spirit world! I found this site that talks about just that (I had to look it up - it was so interesting!): http://www.researchsea.com/html/article.php/aid/579/cid/1 Marcey
