Welcome to a week of amazing things inspired by three powerful astrological factors. These include the Saturn-Uranus opposition, retrograde Mercury, and a Full Moon. This week promises a unique set of circumstances flowing from the triple combination, to say the least, so be ready for the wild and the wacky.

On Monday, the two great planets Saturn and Uranus will stand in exact opposition to each other from the Earth’s point of view. This will bring to a crisis point certain long lasting transformations which began for all of us in November 2008 and which continue to be in process through July 2010. On Monday we are all being affected by these alterations of circumstance and point of view from the potentially unsettling Saturn-Uranus opposition.

Occurring once approximately every 45 years and lasting for a year or more, this planetary arrangement is quite strong and brings energies into play which forces breakthroughs and necessary change. It releases pressures built up in the Earth, society, and the individual. The result can be therapeutic and constructive, though it may also involve sudden departures from the status quo. Disruption of previous patterns is inevitable. Monday sees the greatest application of this influence.

Independence, individuality, unique style, and freedom will be sought by many. The best approach is to let everyone have the space to pursue personal vision. Currently, it is very difficult to get others to sacrifice individual desires for relationship values. Cooperation is at a minimum and insistence on self-actualization is at a maximum. As a result, relationships will feel the strain. Persons may be cranky, unsettled, anxious, or even belligerent if frustrated in their drive for individual modes of action and expression. In the air is exasperation with limitations, blockages, unresponsive bureaucracies, and generally anything which hampers the freedom of the spirit. Expect to see many sudden alterations of plans, lifestyles, and intentions. In some cases, it may seem that persons are reversing their previous positions or identities.

All this is intensified this week by the arrival of the Full Moon on Wednesday, with the exact opposition of Moon and Sun occurring on Wednesday, April 28, at 8:18 am EDT. On that very same day, there takes place a zodiacal conjunction of retrograde Mercury with the Sun. Both the Full Moon and the Sun-Mercury conjunction tend to bring matters to a head, and retrograde Mercury connotes irregular happenings and changes of perspective. As a result, Wednesday April 28 is certain to be an important turning point for many. Unusual occurrences and shocking or even incomprehensible information may surface, changing our view of others most profoundly. Revelations of past activities and hidden matters may simply boggle the mind. In the outer world, transportation and communication technologies will be slowed, stopped, or interfered with in important ways. Mother Nature herself is likely to weigh in with natural phenomena of a dramatic character, especially Monday through Wednesday of this week. And on the mechanical side, it is likely that machinery and electronics will have fits of weird and uncharacteristic behavior A Frenzy or flurry of activity may occur in some locations.

Disruption of normal procedures is almost certain, so be sure to allow for this fact in planning. If thus prepared, it will be easier to adapt to changing conditions as they arise. Speaking of which, it should be said that unexpected road obstacles may crop up. For safety, slow down while driving. Haste and excess speed are definite drawbacks this week. A lower travel speed makes it easier to respond appropriately to unexpected developments on the road. Bear this in mind Monday through Wednesday.

Wednesday promises to be a day of high emotional and physical tension. Discoveries and revelations may knock many off center. Be ready for seemingly outlandish claims and outside happenings. As crazy as it may all sound, it will be necessary to give a full hearing to what comes forth. The afternoon brings potential for emotional instability following all this, but it is possible to keep a good grip on oneself by taking time out to reflect.

The remainder of the week is less dramatic, with hints of peace and understanding making an appearance throughout Thursday and late on Friday. Saturday brings intellectual insight about the week’s happenings, and Sunday ushers in practical efforts to deal with recent upheavals. As the weekend draws to a close, the power of intense emotion from earlier in the week will fade as the Moon wanes, guiding all of nature to settle and come to rest.
