Astrological Outlook - March 15 - 21

If we were slightly bored with routine and a lagging pace last week, the remedy is on the way. By contrast, this week offers truly extraordinary developments and a rapid pace. We should hold on to our hats, for a new wind is blowing, and it won’t wait long to stir up surprises and motivate action. In fact, important events are sure to unfold this week, because Mercury the communication and travel planet is extremely busy, pretty much everywhere all at the same time. The key theme is to go with the flow of new ideas and not fight too hard against solid brick walls. Let’s see how it works out.

The week kicks off with the Pisces New Moon, which takes place at 5:01 pm EDT on Monday, March 15. This New Moon promises to deliver quite a punch, and here’s why.

On March 15, the Moon and Sun blend energies at the 25th degree of Pisces. Right near by in the Zodiac at the 26th degree of Pisces sit Mercury and Uranus. This means that the New Moon configuration will involve and blend the energies of Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Uranus.

These four astrological archetypes working together will make for a stronger New Moon than usual and will activate several areas of life-emotions (Moon), creative identity (Sun), mind and communication (Mercury), and high levels of originality, genius, and independence (Uranus).

All these factors operating within the very psychic and mediumistic sign of Pisces suggest that the intuition will be working for everyone in dramatic ways. The psychic mind is likely to provide the conscious mind with vital tips, hunches, and impressions. Monday March 15 is therefore likely to be a time of breakthrough in understanding and in gaining of intuitive direction. A key component of the information thus revealed is likely to deal with the importance of flexibility in navigating around current obstacles. If we can go with the flow of information early this week, we may find paths to our successes which were there all the time, but which were obscured or hidden to our view before. This exciting revelation makes for a flurry of action and the creation of new intentions on Monday.

The pace on Tuesday will seem to slow somewhat, as the Moon moves to normally upbeat Aries but encounters heavy resistance from rules and regulations as it opposes dour Saturn and squares inflexible Pluto in Capricorn during the business day. Don’t give up hope, though, for the Sun is now moving to make an astrological conjunction with astounding Uranus, and this combination will light the way to unusual solutions, clever alternatives, and way-out surprises on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday in particular promises smart ideas and workable solutions, as Mercury and Mars also move into a trine relationship, thus bringing the people who need to talk to each other to the right time and place for just that. Yep, Mercury again. As our clever friend pals up with action-oriented Mars in a positive way on Wednesday, sudden breakthroughs to cure long-established frustrations and blockages will materialize. This will help everyone get moving on Wednesday toward important goals and objectives. This will be so even if the normal routine is somewhat disrupted by the influence of Uranus, intensified on Tuesday and Wednesday by its conjunction with the Sun. There’s a lot happening, to say the least, with things flying in every direction on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Still the details must be managed, which is a theme for late Wednesday and all day Thursday. It’s Mercury again, this time opposing somber Saturn and therefore slowing us down and forcing us to think matters through carefully, which is a good thing after the flurry of excitement just past.

Friday, Saturday, and even Sunday, we will continue to process complicated matters. Guess who says? Right, Mercury again. This time the Winged One makes a square relationship with Pluto, exact early on Saturday morning. This means that Friday and Saturday will be taken up with profound contemplations and the consideration of complicated issues. Things we do not understand may befuddle our minds, especially as we attempt to grasp the truth behind the façade. The weather is likely to be a big factor in travel plans also, as Mercury in a square to Pluto on Friday and Saturday indicates there will be traffic jams, road obstacles, and general resistance to customary modes of travel.

Saturday smoothes out in the late evening, with peaceful vibes and interesting conversations making us all feel somewhat better. But at the same time, the Sun moves to oppose Saturn on Sunday, calling us to a clear accounting of ourselves and making us pay attention to duties and responsibilities. So we are not home free just quite yet, and in fact, the weekend closes with a realization that perhaps less is more in certain cases.

We should heed that conservative insight and scale down to what we can truly handle with grace and dignity. Some will have the N word put before them hard on Sunday (as in NO, you can’t do that). Although this may be somewhat depressing, it may be better to face the reasons why and accept the existing limitations than to fight them just now. As the early part of this past week shall have already demonstrated, there are more ways than one to find the path to one’s bliss.
