Psychic Readings
"Are They Building You Up, Or Cutting You Down?" . A lot of my clients call asking about relationships, over the years it has made me realize a lot about how, "healthy relationships" are and how "toxic relationships are". My clients have taught me more than they will ever know, and for that I thank you. Ok, so here it is! I feel that everyone on this earth should be very careful as to who they depend on for a, "pick me up" or "self-esteem boost". If you depend on someone who is toxic and that I call the, "invalidator". The invalidator will shower you with nice comments until you are basically dependent on them, then they will pick you apart piece by piece until they are in control. The toxic persons goal is to get you introverted and introspective so that you do not notice what is going on outside yourself. The invalidator will attempt to pull you down. The invalidator may feel that he/she worries too much, while you may appear calm and confident. When he/she can pull you down to his/her level and you start worrying more, then he/she feels, "better than" or "more worthy". The strange thing is toxic people that come into our life, are the very same ones that will be the first to help. After a bit, you will begin to worry only about what he/she thinks. Or what they will do? Whether they will be angry at you or not. This can cause you to stop looking at yourself after a while because you see so much wrong and you feel like you depend on him/her for your sense of worth. The solution to breaking free from a "toxic person" who I call the, "invalidator" is to be aware. I hope this blog has brought you knowledge and awareness to those who feel stuck in something unhealthy. To those who have found a life partner, take a moment to give gratitude to a higher power, that brought you exactly what you'd hoped for, Their is an old saying, "Nobody is worth your tears and the one that is, "won't make you cry". WORDS TO THE WISE for September. August was a tough month, so if you feel like you got dragged through the ringer; September is going to be a breeze! September is asking you to "take it easy on yourself." Don't expect to know everything and have all the answers. Cut yourself some slack. The solutions to your problems will come, but the more pressure you put on yourself the less you will produce. The less you will love and the less you will have to give. September is screaming "Rome Wasn't Built in A Day," and neither can all the changes you want for your life occur in a day. Trust is a huge issue for you this month. We like to see it happening right before our eyes, but that is not this September. This September you are being asked to "take your foot off the gas" just a little and let your life seemingly "idle' while all the good work you have already done starts to fall into place. Have a great September.. Shanon Lhoure x 1119

WORDS TO THE WISE for August

What a great month August is going to be for all of us eccentric, quirky and unconventional beings!

Too often those of us who approach life in a different way from others: instead of not bringing up a subject because it might make us uncomfortable we would rather be uncomfortable to know the answer so they ask so we can move on. The one that relates more to their pet than their mate. The dreamer who literally can gain insight from their dreams. We, who wear colors to a funeral and understand why. The one who truly listens to their two year old’s opinion because they know those opinions count and only sound unrelated, it is more often we are just not tuned in enough to get it. So many of us that omit things about ourselves from conversations: pieces of ourselves that even those that love us don’t know about us because they may define us as being too different.

August celebrates you! This month is letting you know that God or the Divine or whatever name you give the greater awareness; GETS YOU.

You are not weird or strange or less than those that can fit in with stampeding herd.

Remember, a stampeding herd is a large amount of fear driven beings heading towards an unknown fate, usually to escape another unknown fate on the word of many times, of one being who has no more insight than they do.

Hey give me weird any day!

Weird enough... Read More

WORDS TO THE WISE for JULY

Here we are:  July and its festivities are here.  This month is about looking to what we were doing in the past that worked for us.  When I do these insights I pull two cards from my deck I created, called the Words to the Wise Oracle.  It’s not a tarot deck but a deck for inspiration.  A gentle nudge in the right direction for our focus.  The card for this month was Eastern Influence and it talks about thinking back between 3 to 5 years (give or take )  in our lives to something we were doing at that time that helped us in someway. ... WORDS TO THE WISE for JUNE

By Shanon Lhoure

x 1119

Religious or spiritual beliefs are always a potent subject.  They affect all of us, both by their presence and absence, and whether we know it or not, we are always re-evaluating them and responding to them.

Every occurrence in our lives makes us question: requires us to take note in some small way, and from there, base our future decisions.

June is going to be a month of shaking out the “tried and true” beliefs and re-evaluating them against where we are now in our lives.

The only fool is the one that closes their heart,

It takes courage to love and wisdom and a belief that God is with you,

Because of our connection to God we have agreed to give others a chance to love, to love God and to love us:  it is only by our willingness to open our hearts and put ourselves at emotional risk can this occur.

Sometimes they fall short:  no matter how hard we try:

But God has not failed to see every effort or moment you put into loving "one of his flock,” and God has not let your pain go unheard by the divine's heart.

WORDS TO THE WISE for May

Get ready to get lucky!  May is going to be a month of chance meetings with synchronicity on the horizon.  This is the month to really be on the lookout for an unexpected connection.  You may over hear someone talking about a job that is opening while standing in line somewhere: take note; take action.  You may read an article that “triggers” a feeling of opportunity; follow up on it.  Call the magazine, talk to the person who wrote it; take action!

This month, “spirit” is sending gifts your way but they are in the form of opportunity.  You need to be ready to follow up.  You need to know that you deserve to have something change in your... Read More

WORDS TO THE WISE

for March

Hang in there!  At some point winter will end.  But many of us are waiting for something that will never come and that is the “perfect time” to do something.  The right time to start that book,  the right time to talk to that person, start a diet, leave that relationship,  get off the couch and start exercising.  Do any of us really want to count the wasted moments and years of our lives, putting things off for the “right time,” like there is some outside force controlling us and we are just waiting for that force to provide us with this right time.  People: it doesn’t exist. ... This blog is a direct copy from my book  " YOU ARE WISER THAN YOU THINK".    This information will set the stage for becoming more informed on how to integrate your three selves successfully and easily.

For easy translation:  Spirit is also called the Higher Self,  Emotions are also known as the Smaller self and Intellect is also known as the Middle Self.

Higher Self or Spirit

The higher self is not motivated by our needs but by what is good for us as a whole being. The higher self knows the direction our life needs to take in order for us to accomplish what it is we came here to do.  The higher self is not clouded by emotions, and therefore, not mislead by the illusions that can confuse us and take us off our path. It is a powerful teacher and the most direct way to deliver information that will truly make guidance effective.

It can take information and gradually release it into the person’s awareness until they can understand it.

Higher selves will work together as a team. This means if you consciously work from your higher self then your higher self will, in turn, work in harmony with the higher self of others thus achieving the best result for all concerned.

The Higher self often doesn’t relate to the material world, and though the ‘let go and let God’ is a wonderful process, it is necessary to have a balance of the three selves to live within that belief.

 Middle Self  or Intellect

The middle self is the bridge between the higher self and the smaller self or emotional self. It is our voice of reason. The middle self gets more involved in the processing of information and helps to keep us centered so we are able to reason.

The middle self is great for appealing to when you... Read More

One of the techniques I teach every day to help people become more effective in their lives is the integrating of the three selves.   These “selves” are; emotions, intellect and spirit.  For something to be effective in our lives and for us to grow and flourish from it each of these aspects must have a piece in it.   Our intellect tries to protect us by ruling the material world and tries to create stability as far as finances, shelter, food and security.  The emotional self only values things if they are fun.  In order to feel safe the emotional self needs to feel it can identify with something; that they are understood or accepted by others  and hence not feel alone and the spiritual aspect is driven by us always trying to become more and seek out that makes up truly happy without it being completely defined by our intellect or our emotions.

Often when we go and hear someone speak and they get us gunned up and we come out feeling like we can change the world for the next couple of days, and then suddenly reality sets in and it falls away and seems like it almost never happened,  is a perfect example when each of the selves is not equally involved in a decision in our lives.  The speaker appealed primarily to your emotional self.  Their objective normally is to get us so inspired that we over ride the reasoning that the intellect might be wanting to throw at us: the voice of reason,   then you leave go back to your life and then the intellect will start to “shoot down” all the dreams by making it clear that this won’t work because it doesn’t make “cents.”  It is impractical.  It is not safe.

This happens all the time with all of us.  The outfit we had to have that we never wear or returned.  The job we hate but we stay in because  it pays the bills.  The person we love but can’t stand any more.

All of... Read More

WORDS TO THE WISE for JANUARY 2011!
Welcome to the New Year 2011. The month of January is about changing the way we see ourselves. About not being fixed in our views.  “This is who I am and I can’t change!”  That view is selfish, it limits you and by limiting yourself you limit others “experience” of you.  You hold them back as much as you hold back yourself.  January is about you finding the courage to change. Let your New Year’s resolution be to become more pliable.  If not for yourself, for those around you.  In the past it was thought that we need to be strong for others and strong meant inflexible:  to be the rock.  Well, newsflash:  rocks change a little every day.  They are transformed by their environment: they are shaped by what surrounds them.  They were “make-up” was created in such a way as to be able to ‘shift”, and so were you.  No human was born to remain frozen in time: in our thoughts, our beliefs, our physical bodies or our environment.  But change takes courage. It takes faith. But in order for us to not only survive, but to truly flourish we must change: we must evolve and what better time to begin than the first month of a brand new year.

I am wanting to set a new dynamic for the client who starts out with:  I just want a "general or what's in my future"  reading.

I actually like these readings when I sense that the person truly wants a "general reading," it is when I get asked this and my psychic "bell" goes off saying: they are looking for something specific and want to see if it turns up in the "general/future" reading.

There is one fundamental problem with this line of thinking: well at least for me.  I am not a mind reader I am a psychic.  If I were a mind reader this line of thinking would be fine because the art of mind reading involves "hearing or seeing" what the person's personality or ego deems, important.  Like the person who left them or the job that they may want that they want to know about and want to see it turns up in the "general" reading.

But psychic ability  does not "read" the personality or ego".  Well, I know I don't.  I know I read their higher self or what spirit deems important,  so when I do a general/or what's in my future type reading,  you are going to get what spirit wants to talk about  not what your personality wants to talk about so, needless to say,  if that was not your objective for asking,  then you are going to go away disappointed.

In many cases,  the client will just hang up, convinced I wasn't a "good enough" as a reader to see this  " whatever it is" that is on their mind.

Actually,  I am a very good psychic,  just a lousy mind reader!

I guess a good parallel would be:  you go to a new restaurant and it has a menu of 3 or 4 pages of choices,  but instead of looking at the menu to see what you want,  you don't even open it and instead tell the waiter,  "just bring me something."  When the meal comes, if you are truly... Read More

WORDS TO THE WISE for November

Hold on to your hat for November.  There are going to be some days during this month when you feel you like are doing nothing but either “putting out fires” or “trying stop the leak that could bring down the damn,”  while at the same time  trying to juggle three other things.  What will compound this hectic and somewhat stressful time is the fact that you will feel like you have no help and you just can’t catch a break or your timing is totally off.  Your saving grace is going to be “stick with what you know.”  This isn’t the month to try that new recipe, or wear the new shoes, or take the shorter route to somewhere:  this month has that definite look of a time when “what can go wrong, will,” so make your life easier in November and cut back on the stress by going with what works, even if it is not exactly what you were planning. ... I don't think I suffer from "depression" in its full force form.  I know I definitely can "go down" for the count for a couple of days. Get nothing done, drag around, don't write in my blog, that sort of thing.  What I hate about it,  or perhaps me, is that an influx of money will usually bounce me out of it:  relieve the stress and I can normally get a grip again.   So, is it depression,  not sure, maybe if depression and being totally overwhelmed on how to get situations under control are the same thing.

For me it centered around a house I own that I thought I had leased till next March, then the beginning of June,  the girl  just left.  I decided to sell it,  the realtor was all,  rah rah,  three months later, 2 viewings,  two months behind on its rent,  not so rah rah anymore,  now she's I don't know maybe we should do a short sale.  Ah,  no....

So, I am lucky a great couple from Chicago saw it and rented it just from the photos.  Will they buy,  maybe, maybe not,  but for now, I have my head out of my ass and above water again!!

It is amazing to me,  how quickly as people we can go from way high to way low:  is that normal?  I think for those of us who are more of a creative nature we are more susceptible to mood swings cause we normally leave our selves open, or perhaps with less back up.  Not making those regular deposits into our saving accounts: out running our dogs at agility instead  or buying up on pastels for our art work.

So, all those corny sayings hold true: this too shall pass, light at the end of the tunnel, one foot in front of the other:

Being human is really the high and low of my life: being me is the other part of it:

But I think the best saying that can really help is "know thyself"

of course there's Buckeroo Bonzai:  " no matter where you go,  there you... Read More

WORDS TO THE WISE for OCTOBER

As we move in to October the message is “every thing in its place.”  On a computer, in order to not lose documents you create folders, in your kitchen, so as to know what ingredients there are in the jars you might label them, and this October the message is saying it is time for you to give things a name and a place in your life.

It would seem this is not only in reference things, but also to people in your life.  It is time to stop working in the grey areas and be clear on what purpose and position people, careers, habits, hobbies and anything else you may give your precious time to.

This month is about becoming aware there are things and people in your life that are taking up too much of your time and energy without giving anything... Read More

Anyone that knows me....knows that I LOVE quotes that inspire people.  I thought I would share the following quote with everyone here at PsychicPower.com
"One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself."

I think it's neat that Lucille Ball said that!  It is food for thought, that's for sure =)

The Do's and Do Not's of a Psychic Reading
Hello Everyone,

Begin in the industry for the past 11 years. I've continued to encounter things that make me sad. Let's make one thing clear and that is, when you select a reading from a psychic remember you are calling them for a reason. We are here to empower your life and give you guidance that's all. We are not doctors, lawyers or therapists. Treat us accordingly and we will do the
same to you. Just in case you haven't gotten the jist of what I am saying here are some things that both the psychic and the client can do to ensure a great reading.

The DO'S (For The Client)

1.Be Prepared for the reading you are about to receive. Clear your mind from as much junk as you can. This for some can be hard but it is very worth it. You will be amazed at the results of your reading if you do this. To Put It Plainly:Relax

2.Have Your Question/Questions Ready:Whenever you select a reading from a psychic from whatever network you choose to call,
make sure you have your question/questions ready. More importantly make sure that they make sense. Think long and hard about them before calling a psychic because stupid questions warrant stupid answers.

3. Be Specif: When you speak with an advisor remember you are building a relationship. So it's very important for us as psychics to be able be open with you. When you get a reading make sure to open your mouth and talk to us about why you're calling. You wouldn't go to a doctor and say 'I'm sick-fix me' Of course you wouldn't, you would tell the doctor what is wrong with you and they would go from there and hopefully you will no longer be sick. To Put It Plainly-Open Your Mouth!

4. Understand Freewill: Another thing that can help you as a client is understanding free will. If you contact a psychic and they predict the outcome of a situation. They are giving you just that-a prediction. Life can change at the blink of an eye. In Other... Read More

Chasing A Cloudy Rainbow

Hello Readers,

How are you? I hope well. The subject that I am about to write is not only a touchy subject but one that I have been going back and forth with for a while. The things that I may say might offend some of you but I am not here to help you lick your wounds, I am here to help you become empowered. In this blog writing I am going to talk about one man who not until recently have made me really do a lot of inner work within myself and have also made me confront a lot of my own inner demons. Which is never, ever easy. I am not going to mention his name because that would be rude, I will mention the lessons that I learned, what it taught me and continues to teach me. Now, the guy that had the honor to grace himself into my life was a person I'll call Mr. A I met Mr. A through my best friend with whom he worked with. The first time I met him I must admit I thought he was cute, kinda like Jack Black but better looking with piercing blue eyes. Mr. A and I hit it off well and became what I call party buds. We would only see each other through the occasional party that my friends and I would throw or if my best friend needed a ride from work. Anyway, as time went on we would hang out and have a few drinks and then we would make out. Sounds great right? There was only one actually, two  problems. He was straight and I was gay and two he wasn't into me as I was into him. In my head as we kissed, he was a great kisser. I saw or rather thought in my nutty brain that he and I could have a life together, that soon he would admit to himself and to me his feelings and we would be very happy and content. Thankfully, that never happened and the reason I am grateful for this is because, I have realized that Mr. A and I are on completely different paths with our lives  It never occurred to me that Mr. A was simply experimenting and drunk. Meanwhile, I 'm still hoping that he and I are going to have that deep connection. You... Read More

Greetings Everyone,

Recently I worked with a very successful woman who had just filed for a divorce. Apparently she had spent thousands and thousands of dollars on therapy and marriage counseling that didn’t seem to get anywhere and decided divorce was the only viable option.

When I started my session with her I told her that divorce was not necessary because she and her husband still loved each other but that there was a power struggle that was keeping them divided.

A great deal of my work is helping clients get to the root of their subconscious blocks, issues, and thought patterns. While working with this particular client we discovered an angry child within that was causing her to perceive her husband from a misguided perspective.

At around the age of seven or eight, this client had experienced a situation with her parents that had led her unconsciously to believe that she was not important. Some fifty some years later, she has a wealthy husband who is financially supporting a ne’er-do-well sibling and for some reason it is driving her mad with deep seated anger.

I shared with this client my intuitive perception that her husband’s actions were triggering the anger of the child within and that she was repeating the same power struggle dynamics of what had happened as a child with her parents.

It took her a few weeks of processing our session together and some deep self reflection and then she called me to announce that she had called off the divorce and that she and her husband were deeply in love again.

What had happened as a child was a simple yet profound event. The client at around eight years old had to move with her parents because the family moved to a new city. She was so furious and didn’t want to move and begged and begged that they not move.

Of course a little girl doesn’t have the understanding about why... Read More

All mediums are psychics but not all psychics are mediums. Like most psychics and medium, I grew up in a family where psychics’ experiences were just an everyday occurrence. Sometimes people ask me what it is like to be a psychic and a medium, and my answer is that I do not know what it is like not to be a psychic.

My mother, my aunts, my sister and my grandson have all shared psychic/medium experiences. One of my earliest medium experiences was when my father had a fatal heart attack. I was in college, over a hundred miles away from home, and I heard him as he was taking his last breaths. And at his funereal, I was one of the last to leave. Suddenly I saw a long white tunnel open up, and I knew he was now in the light. He also came to me in a dream within a few days, and said he wanted me to relay a message to older sister Sara. When I told my sister what he wanted her to know, she was very relieved.

Over the course of years, I have done countless medium readings for clients whose loved ones have passed over. I have learned that we go from life to life. Yes, the body dies, but the personality, the character, the memories and the feelings remain with the person who has passed over. It is my pleasure to connect loved ones and relay final messages, which gives peace and healing and comfort not only to my client, but to the one who has passed over.

My only son died on March 15, 2009. It has been a priceless experience for me to know that my son is often near me and willing to talk. A few weeks after he died, my phone rang. It was the 911 operator asking me what emergency I had. I told her that I had not called, and she was surprised, as my name, phone number and address was showing up on her caller id. I was very puzzled but after I hung up the mystery was solved. I heard my son say that in the last year, he had not called me enough, but that he was calling me tonight.

A few days ago, I was... Read More

Do you like i-phone apps? All I want my cell to do is make phone calls (okay – that it takes pics is cool too!), but many people do like the different apps that are available. There are two new apps that I am very proud to say are out there. No, they don’t have anything to do with me, but they are Tarot apps, and they are from an artist that I greatly admire.

Her name is Kris Waldherr, and she has adapted two of her decks as i-phone apps. The “Love Tarot” app, featuring the “Lovers Path Tarot”, will be available on October 2nd. And can be seen here - http://kriswaldherr.com/ltapp . The “Goddess Tarot” app, featuring the “Goddess Tarot”, is already available, and can be seen here - http://www.kriswaldherr.com/gtapp .

Have fun!

I love finding new tools to work with for personal/spiritual growth. My latest find is Eckhart Tolle’s three CD set (from a 2002 seminar) entitled “In the Presence of a Great Mystery”. The only way they could have made this better is if they made it a DVD set, so that we could see him as he talks to the audience. He is a gentle, humble man who is also one of the greatest thinkers (and speakers) that I know.

Tolle takes infinite ideas and brings them down to a level where they can be understood. He speaks in words that everyone can understand, without talking down to anyone. The focus for this CD set is “Who are we?” He takes his audience through how each of us has created an identity based on our history, how we interpret things, and the memories that we have of our past. All of this is who we “think” we are.

The story of who we are – what Tolle terms the “little me”, is not really who we are. He emphasizes that we are only who we are in the present – that all we have is the present. When we allow ourselves to let go of our mental constructs so that we move beyond our issues, beyond our problems, we find that state of being that we are looking for. Tolle’s speaking manner is such that he often pauses between words and sentences. These “moments of silence” allow us to take the time to truly appreciate what he is saying.

This is much of what we are looking for in a psychic reading – that finding out of who we are, how we can align our physical/mental/emotional/spiritual selves, how we can move past the challenges in our life. This CD set is an excellent tool for coming to a true understanding of self.
