This week provides a prelude to significant happenings destined for the next few weeks. Major developments wait in the wings, and the pressure of their presence speaks to us as anticipation.

December 13 – 19 leads up to those sensed impending changes. What we can look for this week centers on the arrival of New Moon on Wednesday, December 16. This day will see us bounce back from recent doldrums. Why? Because our energy levels and emotional tones tend to rev up in the two weeks between New and Full Moon, and then slowly settle into quietude during Old Moon, which takes place in the two weeks between Full and New. The Old Moon portion of the cycle is therefore frequently a time of decreased motivation, lowered vitality, letting go, turning inward, and sorting through our impressions in a subjective way.

The first three days of this week fall in the Old Moon period, so it’s realistic to expect a sensation of fatigue and mild disinterest in outer events on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. That’s because Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday fall within the period of letting go, turning inward, and dealing with our inner worlds.

Even so, creative energies are circulating, especially on Sunday and Monday when a combination of Sun and Uranus energies stirs up a need for personal action and sets the stage for sudden insight. Restlessness in the extreme prevails, as inner urges clamor for acknowledgement and expression. Dramatic changes are happening in our inner worlds just now.

In the process, Sunday between 5 and 6 pm Eastern Time, there arrives a distinct opportunity for gaining deeper insight and for using the psychic mind to uncover needed information. This influence will help lift our spirits and give us a better perspective on current challenges.

Then, late on Monday and throughout Tuesday, the restlessness and dissatisfaction of the weekend and early Monday give way to positive developments and feelings. Tuesday in particular offers peace for the soul and kind moments in all interactions and relationships.

Next, the New Moon comes along early on Wednesday and gets us going again on a motivated forward track. And as a very nice seasonal bonus, Wednesday afternoon and evening promises magnetic energies, bringing individuals together for mutual appreciation and enjoyment, as the planets Venus and Mars move into harmonious relationship.

As late week arrives, we are in the New Moon period, so we have more energy for plans and projects Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday, with a peak of intellectual and communicational energies taking place late Thursday and early Friday. Finally, intensity of feeling returns on the weekend, as Venus interacts with Uranus, and hot-natured Mars affects everyone potently. The big changes we are sensing in our lives are starting to unfold.
