Lilith’s World – Crystals and Healing

“My crystal allies help me to heal and bring about positive change.”

This week we are going to be talking about using crystals for healing. We all have the ability to heal – ourselves, and others. We can work in different ways with our crystal allies – one way is to work strictly with the crystals, one way is to go into meditation with specific crystals (or crystal groups), while another way is to add crystals into whatever other type of healing work we are doing.

I have read the Tarot for many years now, and follow the practice of keeping crystals with my decks to keep them grounded and centered. I place a clear quartz crystal (for protection and grounding), as well as a rose quartz crystal (for healing) into each of the bags that holds a deck. I follow my intuition on adding other crystals to specific decks.

Crystals are an inexpensive way to add a powerful healing tool into your healing arsenal. I suggest using a search engine (such as Google.com) on the Internet to find excellent sites that carry articles on crystals and their use, and that carry the crystals themselves. I also suggest visiting local metaphysical stores. If you do a little research first, and have some idea of what you want to use your crystals for, and the types of crystals that you want to work with, there should be someone in the store that can head you in the right direction, show you the different crystals, discuss the differences between them, and get you started.

I dearly love books, and highly recommend the following books on crystals (note - check them out at your local library to see if they resonate with them before you make a purchase): “The Crystal Healing Book” (Judy Hall), “Healing With Crystals” (Louise Chase, Jonathon Pawlik), “The Women’s Book Of Healing” (Diane Stein), “The Crystal Wisdom Book” (Stephanie Harrison), “Crystal Therapy” (Doreen Virtue, Judith Lukomski), “Crystal Healing Essentials” (Cassandra Eason), “Crystal Power, Crystal Healing” (Michael Gienger), “Encyclopedia Of Crystal, Gem & Metal Magic” (Scott Cunningham), and “Gemstone Energy Medicine: Healing Body, Mind and Spirit” (Michael Kantz).

Crystals help us to heal on all levels – emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. They have the ability to ground and center us, to connect us with our heart energy, and to protect us. They have the ability to clear negative thoughts, and negative energy, and bring in positive thoughts, and positive energy. They are an incredible tool of personal empowerment in that they help us to make the changes that we want/need to make in our lives.

One way to work with crystals if to hold them in your hand. Take several deep breaths, and clear your mind. Allow yourself to become one with the energy of the crystal. Address it with respect, and ask it to work with you in whatever healing you need to do. If the crystal does not want to work with you, thank it, and put it away. (When this happens, clear and ground the crystal before attempting to use it again,) All this means is that there is another crystal that will be better for you to work with. Do some research before you decide which crystal(s) you wish to work with, and always treat them with respect.

You can choose to work with crystals by placing them on various parts of your body (this is easiest to do if you work with another person). Do some research before you begin – read some books, and check out interesting Internet sites. The first time you do this work, follow the examples from your research. After you have worked in this manner for a while, you may want to add crystals, or change the pattern that they are placed in.

If you are working with a healing in the emotional area, you may want to work with crystals in meditation, or taking crystals into dreamtime. If you are working with crystals in meditation, you can either hold them in you hand, or place them in front of you as a focal point. If you are taking them into dreamtime, you may want to hold them for a few moments while you concentrate on your question or issue, and them place them under your pillow, or on your headboard or nightstand. In both instances, write down your experience as soon as possible after waking up/coming out of meditation.

Treat your crystals with respect, do your research, and remember to have fun!

I love watching the psychic shows – some are better than others, but they all have their place. A couple of the more interesting ones on now are “Medium” (NBC, Monday’s), featuring a medium working in the Phoenix District Attorney’s office who helps to solve crimes; “Ghost Whisperer” (CBS, Friday’s) featuring a medium who runs an antique store in a small town, and, incidentally, has the inherited ability to see the souls of those who are stuck between the physical and spiritual world, and the ability to help them cross over; and “The Mentalist” (CBS, Tuesday’s) featuring a mentalist turned private detective who works with the California Bureau of Investigation to solve crimes.

Each week, we are going to hear from the voice of one of our oracle allies. This week we are visiting the Tarot. The deck that we are consulting is “The Alchemical Tarot Renewed”, by Robert M. Place. The card that wants to speak is the Tower. The Tower energy is that of change – change that is placed upon us, rather than change that we initiate. We do not generally see this energy in our life unless we have either not acknowledged that an issue needs to be worked on, or we are simply unable to even see the issue at all. Mr. Place notes that this is the energy of sudden change. What the Tower is asking us to do this week is to look around us – to be present in every moment of the day/night. We need to step back, make note of what we see around us, make note of our own reaction to it, determine what has to be released/corrected, and formulate steps to do this. The Tower is very adamant that we stay in the present, and be ready and willing to take action in our lives.

Next week we will be looking at the use of color in our lives.

Wishing you a week filled with joy and peace.

Best Wishes,
Lilith
