MY VALENTINE FROM THE UNIVERSE

This is the day that many people look to in order to judge their value and worth as a human being.  If they receive a Valentine’s Day card or are invited to dinner this makes them feel important.  But to just as many people this day comes and goes and it does not matter to them because they may find this day meaningless  since they gave up on being “special” to someone else a long time ago.  Sometimes Valentines’ Day ends up being full of some unusual surprises.

I remember 7 years ago today being one of those days.  I remember coming home in the morning to an empty house, being greeted by my dog and falling asleep, exhausted in an easy chair.  I had worked nearly 24 hours straight doing a triple shift as a college security guard. There had been an ice storm which caused my Supervisor to beg me to stay on board due to the fact that other personnel were having problems getting to work that night.  Much like this year in 2014 there was thick ice everywhere! And so, I had agreed to work the 7 to 3, 3 to 11 and 11 to 7 shifts back to back.

Before leaving campus, I was told that some flowers had come to the main Security Booth at the Center of campus.  A smile came to my exhausted face as I slowly picked my way up the hill to the hub of campus.  On arrival, sure enough there were 12 red roses waiting for me.  A small card was inside, which I assumed would be from my husband who was out of town for a while in a Blindness Mobility Training Program about 300 miles away.  We had been through a tough time for several years now since his near death car accident.  Once he finally learned to walk and feed himself again, we were relieved but that was short-lived.  Soon he began rapidly losing his sight and the process of learning to be mobile began all over again in a different way.  Courage was at a minimum.  We had spent every... HAPPY INTER-DEPENDENCE DAY!

There was a large FOR SALE sign in the yard.  Polished, red, white and blue…next to it…a homemade sign painted freehand with a short message: ALL WE HAVE LEFT IS EACH OTHER.

I squeezed my hubby’s hand and read him the sign.  It had been a year since we lost our own home and eight years since his accident.  It was also five years since he began rapidly losing his sight.  Although we still enjoyed our Sunday afternoon strolls I did a lot more talking…a picture is worth a thousand words and since he had now lost most of his useable sight I had to describe everything to him.

I also thought of Mom and Dad.  Mom left the planet when I was only 15…Dad on my 45th birthday.  The departure of these wonderful souls from the physical realm meant an even stronger sense of the spiritual as they have remained my guides when I “see” into a realm which I always greet with respect and adoration.  I did not choose this life calling.  It has chosen me.

Although I still have my husband with me physically, I am aware each day that we must strengthen our ability to communicate with our spiritual gifts in the realm where one “sees” with the heart when the physical sight fades and the Universal One is sought in prayer and meditation.  What at first separated us has actually made us stronger as together we learn to walk by faith, not by sight. Believing the best is yet to come no matter how much or how little I can see for myself or others into the future, I know that I am blessed to be able to see the whole picture…that we are not individuals but part of the GREAT SPIRIT.

NEXT TIME YOU HOLD YOUR BELOVED’S HAND and walk your favorite path together on a quiet afternoon stroll, close your eyes and sense them with you.  Not with your eyes but with all that is within you that believes in their existence.

EVERY YEAR ON JULY... Read More

Mothers’ Day is one which many anticipate with mixed feelings.  Our society has a love/hate relationship with our mothers.  And no wonder…we give them the most grueling job in the world and pay them nothing to do it yet we hold them more accountable than anyone else for outcomes but give them barely anything to work with.  So when we set aside this one day a year to honor them it’s beautiful in one way but sad in another.  How many people would accept one pay day per year, for real?!

As I sought the world of the grandmothers today I clearly heard a chuckle, a sigh and then a cry much like the sounds which came from deep inside of my being when I gave birth in that volcanic eruption that we call childbirth.  Your ears pop, your body explodes with a burst of energy and all of a sudden the pent up weight of the world is released from deep within you like nothing else before or since.  Childbirth is a truly spiritual experience, standing on the edge of eternity, ushering a new spirit into the world to hopefully complete its journey back to the other end of the light with strength, courage and a sense of purpose.

Perhaps, the grandmothers say, if we were to try giving birth with our mothers, mustering up the courage and centering of childbirth we could experience with them today for one brief moment the JOY, SADNESS AND EXASPERATION of CENTERING around the CORE OF THE UNIVERSE from which we all come to this world.  What if for one moment today the world stood still long enough as we all took one huge breath and pushed ourselves into the world as our own mothers did.  By CENTERING on that special moment in time which was OUR BIRTH we could touch from within the sheer ECTASY of knowing ourselves the way our mothers who carried us knew us.  BY BEING IN TOUCH WITH OUR INNER MOTHER we can truly be FREE to GIVE BIRTH to ourselves.

For a few moments sometime today and every day set... Read More

Sometimes we ignore our inner wisdoms..Sometimes we are always their for someone else. Sometimes we find ways of making excuses for our friends relationships. Only looking out for their heart. Sometimes we don't. Sometimes we live with no one to turn to and nothing in our pockets. Sometimes a child our own or one sitting in a shopping cart with a big smile gives us hope. Sometimes we feel like giving back. Sometimes we choose to oppose everyone. Most of the time feel nothing or a bit of something.
Is this because of our own Reflection???
Is this what I Ignore???
Ask yourself is this me!!!
Stand Up, Get Up, and Change Yourself
Stay Blessed

WOMAN’S POWER One thing I remember so profoundly is when I was coming from a life as a professional wrestler and moving into a life of a spiritualist, was a day when I was sitting around at a metaphysical center with some witches, psychics, astrologers and numerologists and healers. I became aware as I looked around this room at the indescribable power these women possessed. None are large framed or particularly tall. Nor were they menacing, well not in that moment. They would seem like your regular gals if you saw them on the street, but sitting here in the metaphysical store with full permission to be who they were they were brimming over with this unfathomable power and I couldn’t help but think back to the times my father would abuse my mom, sis and me. Maybe he sensed this power. Maybe at times it rose up in something we said or did, or perhaps in our very way of being submissive, that he was fearful of our ability to stand up to him, silently. And, maybe, though our physical forms wept, were bruised and screamed out, maybe from where he was, he could sense this power, this unspeakable power. A power that he knew he did not and could not possess. This power that thrives within every woman. That can rise up and we can walk away from the abuse. We grab up our children and walk out. Maybe men who abuse sense this power and know that they can not beat it. They cannot claim it as their own. How frightening it must be to see someone half your size but yet still has an essence about them that screams out through their stillness, “You can’t beat me. You can kill this body but I will be born stronger and I will be born wiser next time we meet, it will be different.” Feeling that power in the room, I would have been scared if I were a man that needed to abuse women to feel in control of my life. If I had been someone that needed to name something, to make it tangible so I could kill it or capture it. Within these women, and within myself... Read More

Q.   How do I know if I am psychic?" The obvious answer, if you are having visions and/or premonitions (a feeling that something is going to happen whether it is to a certain person or a feeling that a situation is going to occur and then it does). If you meet someone for the first time and instantly get a gut feeling about that person whether it is positive or negative and then you find out later that your feeling was correct. If you have reocurring dreams that seem so real and then later that something in that dream physically takes place. If when you are around someone you can feel the energy of that person's emotions such as you can sense some anger, sadness, depression, fear, jealousy, greed (I am using these lower emotions because the lower emotions are the strongest and it will be the strongest emotions which most people will begin to perceive at first when opening up some people give up at this point but if they continue to open the higher emotions will come in as strongly as the lower). If you hear voices which are giving you messages and seem to guide you at certain times and if you are experiencing or have experienced any of the above on a somewhat consistent basis then "Yes you are Psychic".
Q:   How do I "turn off" my psychic experiences? A: You may not be able to turn them off but you can turn them down, get control over them in time. Eventually, you will come to see this as a psychic gift, rather than a psychic curse. You can use Grounding and certain tools to control your psychic growth so that you will not feel over whelmed and you can use Psychic Protection and Meditation to help to control and block the energies anytime you are feeling vulnerable or feeling over loaded Psychically.
Q:   How do I increase my psychic awareness and experiences without feeling overloaded? A: It is also difficult to "control" psychic experiences. Even the most gifted Ppsychics/Intuitives have days when they have to rest. The best... Read More

January 4th we experienced the 1st solar eclipse of 2011.  With the conjuction of Jupiter and Uranus.  It left a very good transit for exciting new opportunities with love and money.  Jan. 18th becacame an important date with the Moon opposite a conjuction of Mercury and Pluto.  This created high energies and very intense Month for February with lots of Mars action.  Mars is the planet of war.  Aggression and sexuality.  It formed alot of adrenalin in most of us.  It seems Mars rules our adrenal glands.  Since Feb was most of our focus on Mars agression.  In March it quickly turned focusing on Uranus change "Freedom and Awareness".  Although by the end of March the Full Moon was opposite Uranus.  Which brought "tension, revolution, change".  Being this unexpected Uranus at the end of March.  It created "change and rebellion."  It continued for a majority of us through the middle of April with very energetic conjunction of Mars, Uranus, and rise Aries.  However the middle of April more into the 3rd week created very stong Saturn inflluence which toned down Uranus "of agression and rebellion of Mars".  Uranus to me is lighting "fast and exciting creation of disruption".  Saturn is more "slow and boring".  Ultimately" Creating Balance".May is going to be huge with the conjuction of Mercury. Venus and Jupiter on the day Mercury leaves the retrograde @ 24 degrees Aries. Which create greater understanding in "relations, balance, choice creating the end of the solar eclipse cycle which started in January.  Enjoy May although you need to start to focus on your New Journey of CHOICE. It will continue grow for WIN in your life meaning "WHATS IMPORTANT NOW".  With Jupiter in the near forcast for June it will create "hopeful transits associated with inspiration and clairvoyance."  Your Balance you choose to create in May will prepare you for... These days, so many people are having hard times financially and just do not know where to turn for help. I am not a financial planner and cannot give you financial advice but I can share with you a few very simple things you can do on an energetic soul level that will improve your situation, and there is no limit to the good things you can attract to yourself. Think about your heart’s desire and go for it. I wish I could claim credit for the principles of prosperity and abundance I am going to share with you. I can tell you I have tried the principles over a period of about 12 years and all of these have worked miracles for me. And these will work for you, no matter where you are in your life right now. Also, you can use all of the techniques to manifest a happy romantic relationship, or both.

About 12 years ago, my world shattered on the day that I woke up and could not move. It took about an hour for me to get out of bed and then I had to hang on the walls for support. My life crumbled around me. There were days when I was in such physical pain that my hair actually hurt. And times that every muscle, every bone and every nerve was a center for unbearable pain. I had been a secondary school and college teacher and when I finally realized that I would never be able to do this work again, I had no idea who I was. Like many Americans, I identified with my profession to the extent that without it, I had no identity.

Before becoming ill, I had an income that met my needs and most of my desires. After this illness, there was a period of several years that I had no income at all. I knew how to give to other people but I did... Read More

The other day as I was getting gas, I saw on the news where a homeless man found $3000 and turned it in. The homeless person stated that he started to keep it but decided to turn it in b/c it didn’t belong to him. I wrestled with this for a while b/c I couldn’t understand how a person being homeless (without and in need) could give up so much. Without a doubt, this could have done so much for him. Surely he could have used it.Today as I sit thinking about this, this scripture came to mind- Mark 8:36: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Now of course $3000 is not the whole world but to a homeless person, $3000 is a lot! But in other words, sometimes what we think is valuable or a lot may really be nothing and what we deem as invaluable and less important, can be worth a whole lot- even priceless. I am encouraged today to know that by this homeless man acts, because he decided to return the money (which belonged to a college student), he gained so much more. Others saw what he did and gave many donations to him. So in the end, he gained more than what he would have if he would have kept the $3000 in the beginning. There is a lesson to be learned in all things and I think the lesson I learned from this is to always guard what matters most. My soul! My relationship with Christ! Every man has his own convictions and it is my prayer that no matter what the situation is, we acknowledge our convictions and choose Christ first! Again, no matter what the situation may be, choose Christ first! Another scripture comes to mind, Matthew 6:21- For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. It all boils down to, choices and convictions!!!

At times we see no error and other times we fear of our actions to choice.  Most of us are set in pattern in which we feel at times is comfort.  An often times it becomes a habit or a routine.  At that point the passion of choice subsides.  Try looking outside the box.  Allowing choice  to comfort change.  Setting goals small.  Reform new habits from choice that then turn to journeys.  Thank yourself because of you choosing to let go and create change.  All links to finding closure and creating new you!!!!
God Bless

I am your companion,
I am your helper or your biggest problem.
I will push you forward or drag you to failure,
I am at your every request and need.
Half of the things that you do you might just as well
allow to me and I will do them quickly
and correctly.
I am easily managed,
you rarley need to be firm with me.
Show me how you need something done;
after a few lessons I will do it automatically.
I am the servant of all wonderful people and
also of all failures as well.
Those who are wonderful I have made wonderful,
those who are failures I have made failures.
I am not a machine, but I work with all
assumptions, plus the intelligence of a person.
Now you may run me for profit or
you may throw me away.
It makes no difference to me.
Take me, train me, be firm with me,
and I will lay the world to you.
Be easy with me and I will destroy you.

Who am I?  I am called Habit.
Knowing your in control of your own destiny will allow you to choose your the best Habit

We all need to practice expressing ourselves creatively. I was going through some things the other day and found a journal from 2005. What a gift! I got to read about all kinds of things that I had forgotten about – classes that I took, readings that I did for myself, places that I went. What I wanted to do, what I did, what I didn’t do – it was all there.

We need to reach into and explore our creative centers, to take risks, to move away from the serious side of life a bit, and stretch ourselves. When we journal the creative things that we do we leave a trail for the future – bright “remembrances” of all that we can do and be.

We can redecorate our homes, write blogs, be den mothers, work with the PTA, write stories, paint … the list is endless, and fascinating, all of the things that we can do and be. Our energy is never wasted when we are creating!

What have you created lately? What do you want to create? Go and do it! Live the moment, take the risk, and be happy!

“Real Steps To Enlightenment – Dynamic Tools to Create Change”, by Amy Elizabeth Garcia (Llewellyn Worldwide) is a compassionate, highly readable book that addresses our connection with the Divine, and the need to maintain this connection for personal development. Garcia is a Reiki Master who receives guidance from her Angels and her Healing Guides, as she channels the Christ Force energy.

The foundation of this book is that each of us has the ability to design our own unique spiritual practice – one that works for us, and helps us gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our connection to Spirit. It is addressed to those that are a bit overwhelmed by the many teachings out there that promise to lead to enlightenment. Each chapter in this book addresses a life lesson, such as Purpose, Joy, Trust, Release, Gratitude, Patience, Celebration, Clarity, or Healing.

Garcia breaks the journey to personal enlightenment into small, workable steps, with a real-life application of the tools that she has discovered on her journey. During the writing of this book Garcia was in contact with an entity from the causal plane by the name of Jahallah. This entity came from a plane where all spiritual lessons have been completed, and there is no longer a need to incarnate into the physical world. These entities act as guides and teachers to those of us still on the physical plane. The information in this book is channeled information.

At the beginning of each chapter is a short quoge from a well known figure. Each chapter is broken down into four sections: Jahallah’s message, a personal story that illustrates the concepts of the message, a prayer inspired by the angels, and a section devoted to the reader. In this fourth section the reader is encouraged to write down three ways to bring the qualities of Spirit discussed nt he chapter... Read More

So you’ve watched the news, and you’ve read the articles, and you’ve talked to those around you. And you’ve looked at your own situation. Perhaps you’ve concluded that we are in a state of economic malfunction. Why not make some positive choices for this new year? Choose not to believe or accept financial difficulties as your Truth. Choose not to worry as worrying is pointless, adding only to your suffering and it changes nothing. Choose instead to mediate on the situation at hand, or contemplate it, and view it as a lesson from which positive things can come forth. Project positive energy to that which troubles you and surround that person, place, or thing that may be causing some disturbance with a blue light for healing, and see it in perfect and Divine Order. Think of the obstacles you have already overcome and know that this, too, shall pass. For have we not been told that “out of the darkness comes a marvelous light”? Let all your negative thoughts fall into the ocean and dissolve. Think only of that which is good and positive. Know that what you want the most (the good) is that which is trying its hardest to get to you. Keep in mind that thoughts are things so as Not to manifest any negativity into your reality. Only project positive energy and make those positive thoughts a reality instead. Let go and open up to the good that is to come. Let go and let God.
Blessings,
Mystic Maria

I am currently reading “The Gospel According To Coco Chanel” (by Karen Karbo). For those who do not recognize the name, Coco Chanel was a larger than life French designer that changed the world of women in a very aggressive, positive manner. She is the lady that we can thank for the concept of the “little black dress” (Thank you, thank you Coco!), for the stunning boxed suit jackets of the Jackie Kennedy era, and for (amongst others) the wonderful Chanel #5 perfume that I have worn for over thirty years!

Karbo talks about Chanel’s accomplishments, but also about her sense of self (which is where her sense of style came from). She came from a very poor background (she was raised by nuns after her mother died, and her father could not care for her), yet she walked at a very early age through the world of the aristocracy.

We can all learn something from stories like Chanel’s. We all have our own life story – we want it to be as authentic and strong as it can be. Coco Chanel knew what her strengths were – and she played to them. She accepted what was “right” for her, ad allowed her light to shine.

What is right for you? What are your strengths? Who is the authentic you? Why are you not living the authentic you!

Greetings everyone,

I have an interesting story to share with you about how I found love. When I was forty one years old I was splitting up with my umpteenth boyfriend, already divorced twice and still longing for love. I thought my prayers were answered when I ran into a friend from Ireland that I hadn’t seen in months and as we chatted I felt an unusual rush in my chest. This feeling seemed unique and had a bliss moment attached to it and I asked my friend if he was experiencing the same thing, which he was. Yes, we were both into spiritual, new age subjects and just assumed it was one of those spiritual, new age things.

The next morning I woke up not with bliss but with a painful sense of longing for love and wanted my Irish friend to connect with me, but he couldn’t because he was married. My pain increased and became a feeling that I could not reason away with my mind or overcome with any form of escape. All I could do was face myself and the pain within, which was to become the foundation of the work I do with clients.

The pain within is not an easy feeling to experience, but as I began this inner journey to heal I realized that the inner work of what I was doing was the true work of Self Transformation. I realized that as my desire for love was reaching a feverish pitch, my defenses, the tough side of me, which thought she could live without love, was falling away. Vulnerability was taking over and I was crying like a baby from just wanting love.

I realized that my Irish friend was a soulmate, a catalyst for me to face this hurt that had ruled my life and caused me to wander from relationship to relationship which were always with a type of man that was cold and emotionally unavailable, much like my mother was.

So for two months I was an emotional wreck, until one day the... Read More
