We have always had changing of AGES...And with this comes a changing of values, beliefs, structure..etc.....And we must embrace the changing of the times.

             THE AGE OF LEO (circa 10,00 B.C. ~~to~~ 8,000 B.C.)
This age is characterized by the energy and creativity of human beings learning how to use their environment...Men and women lived in caves and learned to refine highly finished and polished stone implements.. The Sun, ruler of Leo... was of paramount importance to Neolithic ,New Stone Age man, or The Age of Stone. for during this era human beings acquired a limited ability to raise food (agriculture) rather than merely hunt and gather it...According to astrologers..cave paintings from this age (man's first written history)..shows a marked Leo influence...
``````````   THE AGE of CANCER (circa 8,000 B.C. ~~to~~ 6,000 B.C.)
 It was during this Age that human beings abandoned their caves and formed fixed dwellings aboveground, the Cancerian influence to make a home.....Mankind learned to spin and weave and make pottery... They began to grow varied crops and to domesticate animals..Moon worship and fertility rites abounded during this era. Cancer is ruled by the Moon and is the sign of domesticity...fertility... and motherhood.
 ````````````` THE AGE of GEMINI (circa 6,000 B.C. ~~to~~ 4,000 B.C.) This Age is marked by the development of writing (Gemini is the sign of communication)..Mankind expanded its intellectual capacities by beginning to record and to store information... The invention of the wheel made rudimentary commerce and travel possible (both ruled by Gemini)...

. ````````````THE AGE of TAURUS (circa 4,000 B.C. ~~to~~ 2,000 B.C.) The great Egyptian civilization...with its emphasis on cultivation of land and new technology of building (the pyramids).. echoes the influence of earthy Taurus... Both the esthetic... Read More

Ruled by emotional waters, The Pisces  Era is saying goodbye. (1 A.D. to 2000 A.D.)
The Water Element represents: Religions
Feelings and Emotions "The Age of Monotheism, Spirituality, and the Fish" Each Age creates its own “mood”. Bringing to the foreground certain archetypes, beliefs, paradigms and stimulates certain chakras within the human energy field with their corresponding thoughts, emotions and behaviors.

The energies of an age are an immensely powerful force shaping our lives in countless ways; the psychology of the people of that age, the form of religion and spirituality, the structure of society, and the very fabric of civilization.
Among the manifestations of the Piscean Age was the rise of a global religion centering primarily on symbols of water: baptism, walking on water, changing water into wine, and so forth. Indeed, for the student of astrological symbolism, Christianity offers a mother lode of correspondence in connection with Pisces. For example, Christian scripture speaks extensively of fishermen, wine, helping the downtrodden and outcasts of society, and the washing of feet …  all traditional symbols of Pisces. One of the defining miracles of Christ's ministry was the feeding of the multitude with two fishes and five loaves of bread. More subtly, the eating of fish on Friday by Catholics is linked by some to the fact that Friday is governed by Venus, the planet that is exalted in Pisces. Women were not recognized “In the Name of the Father of the son and the Holy Ghost “ They forgot to give a place to the mother. That’s why there is still sense of inferiority or inwardness for many women.
Pisces is intensely concerned with matters of faith. The pilgrims came to the New World, looking for “freedom of religion”. The Piscean Age was an era of religious intolerance, when large populations were expected to show unquestioning allegiance to a monolithic belief system, as exhibited in... Read More

The polarity of Aquarius - Leo
This is the era of peace, of unity, of love. The polarity of Aquarius, Leo, floods us with its complementary characteristics. The celestial throne of the Sun, Leo, encourages, ennobles, enriches, and enlightens us for the growth of our hearts, the growth of our inner beings. Together with Aquarius, Leo promotes the integration of our creative soul with our unity with all humanity. We realize that we must first be something in and of ourselves to be something for others.

The generous Leo will bring food for the hungry, wherever they are in the planet. Not only for the ones that can afford it. This Golden Age is destined to synthesize all religious regimes and free the minds of ignorance and delusion forever. Once enlightened, each human being will begin his or her individual journey within, and strive to become the new race of super conscious humans awakening seekers of Truth and the Spirit, healing peoples of many tongues and nations in the process.
In this new millennium there will be no more falsehoods, but spiritual living and third-eye vision. The Human Family is truly entering the Age of mystic revelations and the mind's true liberation which is broadly known as spiritualism. Because of the principle of polarity, each Great Age emphasizes not only the sign normally associated with it, but also the sign opposite it.
The Piscean Age, for example, emphasized both Pisces and Virgo - a zodiacal axis that (as anyone with these signs amplified in their chart knows) can lean toward a more dutiful and pleasure-denying approach to life. Over the last two millennia, this gave rise to (among other things) a world religion championing the virtues of sacrifice, as embodied in the grim image of a man hanging on a cross. During this age, people commonly believed that there was something... Read More

As a medium, I often find myself in unusual situations, yet when messages come through from strangers, I feel obligated to pass them along.
A few months ago, while shopping in a local department store, an insistent voice who identified himself as Miquel kept repeating the same message over and over. At the same time, I was drawn to a middle-aged woman trying on shoes.
My spirit was strong-willed and demanding.  He kept repeating: "tell her yes, I can hear her."  My first thought was not positive; after all, how would this complete stranger react when I told her that a deceased person wanted me to pass her a message?
As I headed for the exit, the voice literally "screamed" in my head, adding the name Rosa.  I reluctantly turned back to the shoe department and took a seat near the woman.
"Excuse me," I said, "Is your name Rosa?" Slightly taken aback, she answered "yes, do I know you from somewhere?"
After telling her that we had never met, I explained that I was a medium, and that I was receiving a message from a man named Miquel. I repeated the message, "I can hear you."
Rosa took a deep breath and burst into tears.  I reached over and held her hand.  When she composed herself, she was able to explain. The previous evening, she had been lying in bed, weeping, and talking aloud to Miquel, her deceased husband.  Feeling very low, she had shouted three times: "Can you hear me?"
The gratitude on this sweet woman's face filled me with a great deal of happiness.  She could not thank me enough, and we parted with a big hug. "I'm at peace now," she whispered in my ear.  He CAN hear me.
Talk to those loved ones who have left this realm, and rest assured, they are listening.

There is an interesting statistic on women who read their horoscopes – one third of them consult the stars before making a major financial decision. (Based on an iVillage study.) Astrology is a very empowering tool, and I was quite excited to see that women were using it to empower themselves in a very significant manner.

The research revealed that of women who use horoscopes, almost as many of them check their horoscope on a monthly basis (37%) as those who research personal health information on a monthly basis (45%). Forty-one percent share their horoscope with friends (I know that I do!), with 28% saying that their horoscope can change their mood. (I find that horoscopes act as guidelines, so that good times shine, and bad time become more “doable”.)

When we look at the Tarot, and try to determine what one card might best represent Christmas, I immediately think of the Magician. In many ways I equate him with the Magi of the Christmas myth – bearing gifts, in this case the gifts of the energy of the four elements … Fire, Water, Air and Earth.

The Magician through his ability to work with the elements brings wisdom from the spirit world down to the physical world. In the imagery, we see representations of the four elements on the table in front of him. The lemniscate (figure eight) over his head represents infinity.

The Magician is where our self-confidence comes from. He is the archetype that we turn to in order to manifest our goals/desires. Here we see will and desire, and the ability to communicate.

Focus, creativity, determination, personal power, movement – all of this is contained within the Magician. In a spread, the Magician is giving the Seeker a heads up that they have these powers at their disposal, and that they can manifest that which they desire in their lives. The Seeker needs to access their potential – to recognize it, and put ti to best use.

If the Magician is poorly aspected in a spread, the Seeker needs to look for where in their lives they are being manipulated, and by whom. (Note: The energy doing the manipulating may also be the Seeker’s ego, or sense of self.

The Magician represents Christmas to me because of the gifts that he brings: self- awareness, clarity of thought, focus and intent placed behind action.

Which card in the Tarot represents Christmas to you? What place does the Magician have in your life?

Willy Wonka, meet the Dalai Lama: The latest ingredient to infuse dark chocolate is the goodwill of meditating monks, which is said to lift one's mood above and beyond the usual bliss.

Intentional chocolate, a Los Angeles–based company, uses an electronic device that supposedly "records" the good intentions of meditating Buddhist monks and broadcasts them into a room where its confections are stored. According to a 2007 study, coauthored by company founder Jim Walsh and published in the journal Explore, eating one ounce of the candy per day boosted positive mood and energy levels by an average of 67 percent after three days.  Participants reported decreased stress, greater calmness, enhanced focus, and improved general well-being. As a way to give back, the company donates 50% of net profits to a different charity each season.  To learn more about Intentional Chocolate, check out www.intentionalchocolate.com.

The Mentalist Recap – Season 2, Episode 9 – A Price Above Rubies – air date 12/10/09.
In this episode Jane and the CBI team investigate the murder of a wealthy jeweler during a jewelry heist at a charity event. I loved the opening scene – a large ballroom, people dressed to the nines, and Jane acting as MC!

All is not as it seems (in Jane’s world, all is never as it seems!). The person who seems to be number one for having committed the crime is found dead, and the family members surrounding the wealthy charity patroness (husband and nephews) … well, they all have their own quirks!

Great sparks between Lisbon and Jane, and some gentle nuances between Rigsby and Van Pelt.

Christmas is a time for family – for family activities, and for a simple time of sharing. This is a busy world, and we may need to make time – or take time – to create the memories that will sustain us over the years. It is also a time to maintain family holiday traditions – if possible. Sometimes, due to time or financial constraints, choices have to be made. Or sometimes a tradition will be left behind, and a new one created.

Family time can be simple – baking cookies together, cooking together, trimming the tree, and then sitting there with a cup of cocoa watching the lights. You may choose to watch favorite Christmas programs together, or rent a favorite holiday movie and watch it.

You may decide to go outside and build a snowman, or make snow angels. You may decide to go ice skating – or even ice fishing! Whatever you enjoy doing is what you should share with each other.

Time shared is more important than any expensively wrapped present will ever be!

Medium Recap, Season 6, Episode 10 – You Give Me Fever – air date 12/04/09.
In this episode Alison’s visions take on a desperate importance after samples of a deadly disease disappear. He virus is spread by people to people, and has an 85% mortality rate.

Alison dreams about a car crash – and then sees it happen on her way to get a flu shot. She then develops flu-like symptoms, tells this to one of the detectives she works with, and is visited at home, early in the morning, by medical personnel in bio-hazard suits. It seems that the man in the crash – a man who worked for the company that owned the viral samples – was infected, and meant to kill himself.

The information on the crash is televised – the next day, Alison goes to work, only to find out that 20% of the staff has called in sick, and a good percentage of the rest of them are wearing bio-masks.

Alison has a dream about the head of the bio company – that he is the one creating the problem. He has infected a male employee that he is in a relationship with – which, in the end, goes badly. Alison confronts the company head, who denies everything, and tells her she has no proof anyway. By a strange twist of fate, he compromises his own immune system, and dies of the regular flu.

The good news – Detective Scanlon asks for Lynn for her hand in marriage – and she accepts!

Quite an interesting – and realistic – episode.

Ghost Whisperer Recap – Season 5, Episode 10 – Excessive Forces – air date 12/04/09.
In this episode the ghost of a high school boy accuses a Grandview policeman of murdering him. The shooting in question was actually attributed to the accused policeman’s partner … so what is going on! But wait … wrong shooting! The accused policeman also tickets Eli for a tail light issue, and has Melinda’s car towed while she is in the police station.

It seems that the murdered boy’s best friend brought him into the ER, barely conscious. And both Dillon (the murdered boy) and Jake (his best friend) knew the policeman’s daughter (Ann Marie). Somehow along the line Eli gets ticked by the accused policeman for a tail light violation, Melinda has her car towed (and inadvertently dismantled in an erroneous drug check), and the accused policeman’s mailbox is trashed.

It turns out the death was accidental. Good story re making assumptions, an excessive parenting.

Greetings everyone,

I have an interesting story to share with you about how I found love. When I was forty one years old I was splitting up with my umpteenth boyfriend, already divorced twice and still longing for love. I thought my prayers were answered when I ran into a friend from Ireland that I hadn’t seen in months and as we chatted I felt an unusual rush in my chest. This feeling seemed unique and had a bliss moment attached to it and I asked my friend if he was experiencing the same thing, which he was. Yes, we were both into spiritual, new age subjects and just assumed it was one of those spiritual, new age things.

The next morning I woke up not with bliss but with a painful sense of longing for love and wanted my Irish friend to connect with me, but he couldn’t because he was married. My pain increased and became a feeling that I could not reason away with my mind or overcome with any form of escape. All I could do was face myself and the pain within, which was to become the foundation of the work I do with clients.

The pain within is not an easy feeling to experience, but as I began this inner journey to heal I realized that the inner work of what I was doing was the true work of Self Transformation. I realized that as my desire for love was reaching a feverish pitch, my defenses, the tough side of me, which thought she could live without love, was falling away. Vulnerability was taking over and I was crying like a baby from just wanting love.

I realized that my Irish friend was a soulmate, a catalyst for me to face this hurt that had ruled my life and caused me to wander from relationship to relationship which were always with a type of man that was cold and emotionally unavailable, much like my mother was.

So for two months I was an emotional wreck, until one day the... Read More

December 16th, 2009 brings us the New Moon in Sagittarius. Be prepared to open yourself to new ways of thinking … to new visions. This is a very assertive, outgoing time, when we will be moved to take action on our thoughts. This energy is increased because it is a New Moon – a time of new beginnings, of planting seeds for future growth.

This is a time when we will be letting go of that which is holding us to the physical world. When we release this energy, we find that we make much better spiritual progress. You may find yourself feeling somewhat detached from everyday life, which may be a necessary thing for your spiritual progress.

Quite literally, we are letting go of the old and making room for the new. We are recognizing and releasing that which no longer serves us well.

On December 2nd we have the Full Moon in Gemini. This is one of two Full Moon’s for December – there is a Blue Moon on December 31st (New Year’s Eve). Look for an enormous amount of energy with Gemini, and quite a bit of changeability. As Gemini rules communications, this is an area that will need to be pai close attention to this month.

Gemini’s ruler, Mercury, is in a square to Uranus, the planet of change and radical thinking. Be aware of a trend towards impulsive thought, speech and action during this Full Moon! This is also a time to be careful of equipment failure, and to watch out for accidents.

One thing that we need to be aware of is that the Gemini Full Moon is an excellent time to access our creative nature, to look at things from a new perspective, and to make significant lifestyle changes. This can also be a time for short journeys.

The Medium ReCap – Season 5, Episode 16 – The Man In The Mirror – air date 11/27/09.
In this episode, Allison goes into a coma and enters the body of Todd Emory, a patient at the hospital Allison is taken to. This is a repeat episode, but well worth watching again. Every time I see a repeat episode, I am made aware that Allison’s husband Joe really never was as weak a character as I once thought him to be.

It is hysterical to see Todd Martin whip up a costume for Allison’s youngest daughter, with her oldest daughter fuming in the background! (Todd Martin temporarily resides with Joe and the kids while Allison is in the hospital, in a coma.) Then there is Joe, kneeling by Allison as she comes to consciousness, praying that she comes back as herself, and not as Todd Martin, who is currently coding, due to a bubble that his wife injected in his IV line!

Fantastic episode!

Ghost Whisperer Reap – Season 4, Episode 4 – Save Our Souls – air date 11/27/09.
In this episode Jim and Melinda are on a romantic getaway cruise when she encounters a very confused (and angry!) female ghost haunting another couple.

This is, as you can see, a repeat episode. It is the very first episode of this series that I ever saw. Having seen more of the show, and able to put things into better context, I really enjoyed watching it again.

One thing that struck me was the wardrobe – much more subdued than the current shows. I like the show better when it is based around where Melinda lives – it makes her seem more “real”, and allows ancillary characters, such as Delia, Eli and Ned to provide context and sub-plots.

I also loved that this episode featured one of my favorite actors – William R. Moses. And … you will adore the socialite ghost that is having so much fun on the cruise that she refuses to cross over!

The Mentalist Recap – Season 2, Episode 1 – Redemption – air date 11/26/09.
In this episode Minelli assigns the Red John case to Sam Bosco (fearing that Jane and Lisbon are too close to it). Jane decides to help with one more case – the murder of a woman who has been accused of stealing one million dollars.

This is an episode that I had seen before, but that was well worth watching again! The first few minutes show Jane solving a crime solely by the use of his intuitive powers, an by paying attention to body posture.

The primary case for this episode – that of the murdered woman – goes a long way towards setting the groundwork for the interaction between team members Jane, Lisbon, Cho, Rigsby and Van Pelt, and gives us a birds eye v iew into Bosco’s personality, and his attitude towards Jane.

Excellent episode!

All mediums are psychics but not all psychics are mediums. Like most psychics and medium, I grew up in a family where psychics’ experiences were just an everyday occurrence. Sometimes people ask me what it is like to be a psychic and a medium, and my answer is that I do not know what it is like not to be a psychic.

My mother, my aunts, my sister and my grandson have all shared psychic/medium experiences. One of my earliest medium experiences was when my father had a fatal heart attack. I was in college, over a hundred miles away from home, and I heard him as he was taking his last breaths. And at his funereal, I was one of the last to leave. Suddenly I saw a long white tunnel open up, and I knew he was now in the light. He also came to me in a dream within a few days, and said he wanted me to relay a message to older sister Sara. When I told my sister what he wanted her to know, she was very relieved.

Over the course of years, I have done countless medium readings for clients whose loved ones have passed over. I have learned that we go from life to life. Yes, the body dies, but the personality, the character, the memories and the feelings remain with the person who has passed over. It is my pleasure to connect loved ones and relay final messages, which gives peace and healing and comfort not only to my client, but to the one who has passed over.

My only son died on March 15, 2009. It has been a priceless experience for me to know that my son is often near me and willing to talk. A few weeks after he died, my phone rang. It was the 911 operator asking me what emergency I had. I told her that I had not called, and she was surprised, as my name, phone number and address was showing up on her caller id. I was very puzzled but after I hung up the mystery was solved. I heard my son say that in the last year, he had not called me enough, but that he was calling me tonight.

A few days ago, I was... Read More

Thanksgiving is almost here. I thought that I would do a short reading regarding what this Thanksgiving means to us. We are facing hard financial times, a difficult economy, a heavy troop commitment overseas, and the changing energies leading up to 2012. In view of this – where is the meaning in Thanksgiving?

The deck that I used was Kat Black’s “Touchstone Tarot”. I set the following positions:

  1. What we know we are thankful for. Star
  2. What we are not aware we should give thanks for. Emperor
  3. What the gift of this Thanksgiving is. Hierophant

Star Emperor Hierophant

Interesting that all of the cards draw were from the Major Arcana – the suit of Spirituality! This is an important Thanksgiving! The Star tells us that as a people we are hopeful, that we have seen some success and expect to see more soon.

What we are not aware of that we should be giving thanks for is that order and structure rules. The masculine strength here, the sense of decisiveness and competitiveness will serve us well.

The Hierophant tells us that the gift of this Thanksgiving is that of a spiritual awakening – of learning what works for us, and what does not, and conforming more to that line of thought.

I wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

“Reclaiming The Lost Tarot” (Jerould Goodwin, Kala Purusha Publications) is anew release that should take the Tarot world by storm. It takes what may be a precarious position in claiming that the Tarot is the essence of Western occult study. It is accepted that the Tarot contains a solid esoteric foundation, but that it IS the essence of that foundation will certainly cause some serious discussion.

In this work Goodwin connects Tarot with what he terms Supreme Absolute Truth. The content here is highly esoteric – but Goodwin is very open to readers interpreting it in their own way and placing it to work in their lives. More information on this book can be seen here.

Interesting goings on re the 2012 energy – on October 29th, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at the new age book store The Ark, Guatemalan Lina Barrios discusses her brother Carlos’ work “The Book of Destiny”. This book does carry some weight, re an endorsement by a group called the Mayan Council of Elders.

According to Barrios, 2012 is not is not a date of destruction, but the mark of a new astrological cycle, taking us closer to nature. This is a time of planetary energy change, and perhaps the beginning of new religious movements.

For more information, see Book of Destiny.
